Nelish Ministry : The Bigger Picture

Having dedicated his life to raising these helpless orphans, Nelish founder Richard Ssentambule has realized a greater dream for them. Basic needs are often difficult to meet within the village and there is much hope and faith in charitable folks to help from month-to-month. Many loving people do help out but wouldn’t it be much more enriching for these children if they had their own land in which to learn how to farm and learn to sustain themselves and each other. This land could also be used to meet a variety of other needs as well.

Richard has his heart set on 5 acres of land and this is what he envisions it to become:

• A permanent shelter can be built for the children
• A school for teaching and social activities
• A chapel for worshipping God and singing praises unto the Lord
• A medical center since the nearest one is miles away
• Drill for a clean water source for the shelter and the village

Eventually, Richard sees this expanding into a campus with extended learning and university opportunities, vocational studies, sports and music clubs. The possibilities are endless for blessing these little ones and teaching them to extend that blessing to others.
